Gennady Dmitryak, Russia
Honored Artist of Russia Gennady Dmitryak is a well known conductor, music director of the Yurlov State Academic Choral Capella and Capella «Moscow Kremlin», professor of the choral conducting faculty of the Gnesin' Academy of Music.
He received music education in Gnesin' State music-pedagogical institute and Moscow P.I. Tchaikovsky conservatory. His teachers were such remarkable musicians as А. Yurlov, К. Kondrashin, L. Ginsburg, G. Rozhdestvensky, V. Minin, В. Popov.
Throughout his creative activity G. Dmitryak worked as conductor in Pokrovsky Chamber Musical Theatre, The Kolobov Novaya Opera Theater, The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theater, Garsia Lorca Theater in Havana, Moscow State Chamber Chorus under V. Minin.
The 90s saw him expanding his ambitions further with the creation The Moscow Kremlin Capella, taking them on numerous tours through Europe and Asia.
It was because of his talent and enthusiasm that Dmitryak was offered the position of Music Director and Conductor of the Yurlov State Academic Choir. Gathering a team of young, talented musicians and then enriching the repertoire with modern music by composers such as A. Tchaikovsky, А. Schnittke, R. Shchedrin and G. Kancheli, Dmitryak has found the creativity to attract audiences from far and wide. The Choir, often invited to participate in festivals and concerts in both Russia and Europe, working with many famous orchestral names as Svetlanov State Academic Symphony Orchestra and Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, and has become immensely popular and all of this under the watchful creativity of Gennady Dmitryak.
Gennady Dmitryak is also often invited as a member of jury in choir competitions, holds conducting master classes (in Serbia).
